SANDHILL FARMHOUSE garden created with a masterly touch by Rosemary Alexander VMM (RHS), the founder and Principal of The English Gardening School. The author of many garden design books, she brings to life at Sandhill her accomplished expertise in landscaping and plantings. Her compositions of texture, tone and colour perfectly capture the sense of the place and create an enchanting and exciting space. This garden is an exquisite gem.

KIMPTON HOUSE garden, borrows its backdrop in a panoramic view of The South Downs. Within the six acres of garden Susan Napier created there is informality in the large wild flower meadow, but elsewhere restraint in strict lines of pleached Limes matched with Box topiary. Contemporary borders of grasses and architectural plants, an unexpected hot spot of tropical planting – yet there’s a hidden cottage garden too. Contrast and surprise provide this garden’s impact.

The day starts at 10.30 am with coffee, homemade biscuits and a leisurely talk and tour of the first garden. A delicious lunch will be served locally, followed by the visit to the second garden. Tea and freshly baked cakes will be served at the end of the afternoon.
