In January 2014, SSIT provided a new minibus for patients at The Duke of Cornwall Spinal Treatment Centre.

For two years previously, the centre had been without suitable transport and as a result, excursions away from the hospital were challenging.

Specially designed in consultation with staff at the the spinal centre, the minibus allows up to four patients to be safely transported, in wheelchairs, to recreational activities that will complement their ongoing rehabilitation.
