Seven months after launching our appeal to provide a new minibus for patients at The Duke of Cornwall Spinal Treatment Centre, the shiny new vehicle was delivered.
The first outings have already been planned and include a trip to Twickenham to see England v Rugby, a concert in Salisbury’s City Hall, sailing in Ringwood, fishing in Downton and a fish & chip supper on the south coast. Trips such as these are an important part of rehabilitation.
Specially designed in consultation with staff at the spinal centre, the new patient minibus will accommodate four passengers in wheelchairs, with additional seating for four others.
