Our Wheel Appeal

This year, we have added a special focus on fundraising to provide all types of powered add-on drive for manual wheelchairs.  These are the types of equipment we are asked to help with most often.  Devices include: eMotion Wheels, the Smartdrive, e-Fix, Twion wheels, and the Wheeldrive.  All of these work in slightly different ways and give a power boost to manual wheelchairs.  This can greatly increase the range that someone can travel without getting tired or risk shoulder damage, as well as making light work of inclines and different surfaces.  The devices typically cost up to £4,500.  (The Wheel Appeal funds will also be used to contribute to our other grantmaking if this need is greater).

You can donate at our special online Campaign page at Virgin Money Giving .  Please help us transform more lives with these fantastic devices.  You can also donate by post – just use the address below and tell us whether you would like your donation to go into our Wheel Appeal.

We also give grants for all sort of other essential equipment needed by people with spinal cord injury in the South and South West of England. We really do rely on the generosity of people like you to help us continue our work supporting both individuals and The Duke of Cornwall Spinal Treatment Centre in Salisbury.
