Donations in memory of Horatio Chapple will fund an accessible garden at the Duke of Cornwall Spinal Treatment Centre.

People with spinal cord injury are encouraged to apply to SSIT for help with the provision of equipment needed to promote independence and good health.
Please help us continue our work providing equipment and facilities for the Duke of Cornwall Spinal Treatment Centre and assisting people with spinal cord injury living in the region.

Duke of Cornwall Spinal Treatment Centre
The Duke of Cornwall Spinal Treatment Centre is the specialist spinal cord injury centre for the South and South West of England. SSIT is the main charity fundraising for the Spinal Centre and its patients.
Smith & Williamson
Smith & Williamson are providers of investment management, accountancy, tax, corporate and financial advisory services. Having helped to set up SSIT when Sally Mathieson, who worked at the company, suffered a spinal cord injury, the Salisbury office provides office space for SSIT and handles the charity’s finances for no charge.
Spinal Injuries Association
The Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) is the leading national charity for spinal cord injured people.
The Back-Up Trust
The Back-Up Trust runs three distinct services: wheelchair skills, mentoring and rehabilitative activity or cultural courses. These services are peer-led and encourage independence, self-confidence and motivation following a life- changing injury.
Consumer Justice Alliance
The Consumer Justice Alliance (CJA) has been formed to highlight the impact that Lord Justice Jackson’s proposals on Civil Litigation will have on injured victims. The CJA is made up of representatives from charities, victims’ groups, insurers and law firms, all of whom feel the need to act against the potentially serious implications of the Jackson’s recommendations.
